It happened again last night!
By now you probably know , I’m not the TALLEST person on TV.
So, I’m at an event last night for Kicks for Kids (great organization) and I get up to the podium and the audience could barely see my EYEBALLS!
I swear, that last person who used it, must have been 6-foot-6! Okay, maybe they were only 5″5′, but to me, IT WAS TALL!
But what can I do? I’m standing in front of 600-people!
So,I’m trying to just go with the flow. I kind of laugh. But inside, my heart is racing! I can hardly concentrate on what I’m saying because I’m thinking, “THESE PEOPLE CAN’T EVEN SEE WHO’S TALKING! They’re probably thinking, “Awe! That’s a cute kid up there.”
After talking for what seemed like FOREVER, one of the workers races over to me and tells me the podium is on a remote and can be lowered. HOW EMBARRASSING!
So not only can people not see me. Suddenly, this enormous podium starts to miraculously lower. I felt like the Wizard of Oz!
LOL!
Ya know a staff member at the event should have known this info
and informed you about this and how to lower it when you first got there
