I had one of those nights tonight that every parent dreads.
It’s 15-minutes before our 5pm news and I get a call from my sitter that Cameron (my almost 2-year old) is getting sick and seems disoriented. I ripped off my mic and raced home to rescue my little guy.
TALK ABOUT A PANIC! I think I made it from Downtown to Florence, in 15-minutes flat, in the middle of rush hour.
I was afraid it might have been Heat Exhaustion or Dehydration because we spent the morning at the pool but now I’m wondering if it’s just a bug.
Don’t you hate that though as a parent??! You just never know! And you’re afraid the one time you don’t over-react, that’s the time you’re child will be really sick!
Anyway, I think Cam is fine now. Poor little guy. Whatever it is, he looked pathetic.
By the way, this is when it’s tough working in news because even though I had a sick child at home, all HECK was breaking out here. Flooding, cars floating away, buildings collapsing, and then MICHAEL JACKSON DIES! So terrible!
So here I am, making sure my little guy is OK.. and then racing back to work.
A nutty day. T.G.T.I.F….. Thank Goodness Tomorrow Is Friday!
I hope Cameron is fine this morning. Maybe he got some water in his ear and it threw off his equilibrium.
As for Michael Jackson I never listened to him or cared for him.
