ANCHORMAN MOMENT

Okay, hopefully by now you know me well enough to know I take pride in my job and still love what I do… despite the madness ;)

But I’m also able to make fun of myself!

Did you see last night??  I had an “ANCHORMAN MOMENT”.

Do you know what I’m talking about?  Have you ever seen the movie Anchorman, with Will Ferrell?

In short, Will Ferrell plays Ron Burgundy.  He’s a 70’s Anchorman who’s egotistical, arrogant, and on top of that… not very bright.

Anyway, at one point he’s READING the telepromper and starts the show by asking the question “I’m Ron Burgundy?”… instead of stating HE’S RON BURGUNDY.     Someone then replies, “Who put a question mark in the prompter??!”

WAY FUNNIER IF YOU’VE SEEN THE MOVIE!

Anyway, last night, one of my producers put our reporter Eric Flack’s name…. in place of Andrew Setters name by accident.  So as Andrew is finishing his story and after I even asked him a follow-up question.. I thanked him by READING, “ERIC FLACK reporting, thanks.”

Normally, I catch those sort of things but this time I missed it.

GOTTA LOVE LIVE TELEVISION!

I often tell people the difference between my job and yours,  is everyone knows when I’M having a bad day!  ;)

Luckily, Andrew was a good sport and tonight, we get to do it all over again.  See you at 11pm.
