Sheree,
Thank you again for your role at the Be the Scream event. I was impressed with your willingness to be honest and vulnerable. Such genuine sharing helps listeners feel connected. It helps me hear your reporting as coming from another member of our community rather than just a face on the TV screen. That you were willing to be a little goofy with us didn’t hurt either.
Blessings,
Ed
Dear Sheree, The community of Connections is so grateful for your particiaption at our Be the Scream event. As you sensitively shared about how the issue had impacted your family, we felt embraced and encouraged. When you as a public personality begin to join us in giving voice to the issue, we know we are making progress in opening discussion. Thank you for staying and talking to everyone who wanted to meet you. But mostly, thank you for being YOU and sharing YOU with us! Warmly, Rebecca
Sheree:
I just wanted to tell you that I had the pleasure of meeting some of your family members on Sunday at Kristinas graduation party. I had already meet your sister at the baby shower we had for Kristina, and other members of your family. They were all very nice. I was sorry I did not get to meet you, but since my son is the father of Kristinas baby I am sure there will be a time to meet you. I find your comments about being short funny but I can not imagine you are much shorter than Kristina. Steve, Sheila and Kristina are great people and Kristina is a good mother. Steve and Sheila are great grandparents. Its hard for a young girl to raise a baby while trying to finish school and then further her education, but Steve and Sheila are there, and so are my husband, myself and my son (the father of Peyton). I just wanted to say if your extended family is any indication of the type of person you are, then you must be great.
Enjoyed your blogs about snow adventures (car driving and with your boys). Brings back memories. I am retired nurse from Children’s Hospital. During blizzard of 77 or 78 I remember heading west on Wm Howard Taft. Saw busses and cars stuck in front of me. Backed down to Victory Pkway, went 1 block north to side street and was on time to work. I too had many snow rouutes stored in my head. Hope you enjoy the day today with your boys. Barb
Sheree,
Your mother is now my new neighbor here in Knoxville and she is wonderful! We’ve bonded within the past few weeks like we’ve known each other for years, so maybe it’s the Yankee in us. She has talked about you several times and absolutely beams when she mentions your name, so…of course, I had to look for you online and I must say, you are definitely your mother’s child – which is beautiful!
We look forward to meeting you whenever you come to visit.
Warm regards,
jan
Oh! And thanks for agreeing that it was time to shed the prom dresses!
Weather report Sunday evening was rediculously overdone
whay do you train your weather folks to go on and on incessantly. THis is just aggravating the public.
We want to watch the PGA tournament, not listen to irritating weather over and over.
The storn is not news and was lessening in intensity.
This is irritating to no end!
Sheree,
It shows that you are a loving mother. I have a situation that I would like your help with. I took my 5 yr. old granddaughter to Wal-mart, an employee closed the dressing room door on Mya’s fingers and then left them stuck in the door while she yelled at her. I had to repeatedly tell her to open the door to retrieve her fingers, after I made a complaint, 2 other Wal-mart employees harassed, discriminated against, and abused us. As I said to them “No, I don’t think she closed the door on her fingers intentionally. But she did leave them there intentionally while yelling at her.” It has taken me 2 weeks to get a return call from the store manager, just to be told “I am sorry this happened, I have viewed the video and am upset with my employees and I will have a TALK with them.” I would like to let others know what happened, if you can help me with this matter it will be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Verna Cowan
